New Here?

For your first visit

First and foremost, New Heights is a warm, welcoming community. We're not going to put you on the spot or ask you for money. We're just glad to have you show up.

We want your first visit to New Heights to be enjoyable, not stressful. That’s why we put together this little guide. It will give you a sense of what to expect.

If you have questions that are not answered here or would like to introduce yourself, please don't hesitate to send us a message or drop by one of the Welcome Centers that we have at each location.

Where do you meet?

New Heights is one church meeting at four locations in Vancouver, WA. This affords us all the benefits of a large church without feeling too large. It also enables us to bring the message of Help, Hope, and Home throughout the Vancouver area. We have a location in East Vancouver, downtown Vancouver, Battle Ground, and one centrally located between all these places.

When do you meet and how do I get there?

We have driving maps, directions, and even building maps for you on our times and locations page.

What is a typical worship service like?

Our weekend gatherings are called "worship services." The service generally starts with a few worship songs, a greeting, and prayer. Then one of our pastors guides us through a teaching from the Bible. This "talk" tends to  focus on "how-to" over"ought-to."  We finish our time much like we started--with a short prayer and some worship songs. A typical worship service is about 65-85 minutes.

What if I don't know the songs or am not familiar with the Bible?

New Heights isn't the type of church that's going to put you on the spot. The last thing we want is for you to feel uncomfortable. We have Bible passages printed so you can follow along, and the words to the songs projected on a screen in case you want to sing along.

What is the music like?

The style ranges slightly from week-to-week and location-to-location but generally speaking, it is contemporary.

What about my kids?

Caring for kids is a priority at New Heights. We have special children's programs available from nursery to 5th grade in our kidzone so you can relax while attending a worship service.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever is comfortable for you. We're pretty casual around here.

What do you believe?

Take some time to read our goals, beliefs, and purpose. But honestly, the best way to find out what we are all about is to check us out in person.

We hope to see you soon!
