What To Expect On The Weekend

Check-in Process
When entering a classroom you will get or write out your child's nametag for personal identification. Your child is then invited to participate in a variety of engaging activities during the duration of the check-in period. The activities are designed for the leaders to interact with the children while creating an enjoyable learning environment and easing any separation anxieties that they may experience.

When checking in:

  • Take a pre-numbered card. The adult checking the child into the classroom is given a security number that is necessary to release the child at the end of the service hour.
  • Write your child's number on the sign-in sheet. There are preprinted sheets for regular attendees and guest sheets for guests. Please indicate where you will be under the hour you are attending and write any special instructions (i.e. allergies, etc.) on the sign-in sheet.
  • Write your child's name and/or number on their nametag.
  • Your child is now ready to enter the classroom. To help with your child's transition into the class, simply wave a quick good-bye and leave for the worship service. If we need you for any reason, we will contact you by placing your child's security number on the screens in the front corners of the worship center.
  • When you come to pick-up your child, hand your security number card to a volunteer and they will get your child for you. (They will not release a child without the card.)
Story Time
The children will learn a Bible story and a memory verse that emphasizes the theme and focus of the lesson. They will be encouraged to participate in a group discussion that will help them learn how to apply Biblical truths to their lives. The lesson finishes with an activity that reinforces what they have learned!

Snack Time
The two year olds through Kindergarten classes have a light, peanut-free snack together. The classes may visit the playground, weather permitting. Please send a jacket or sweater with your child during cooler weather.

Check-out Process
To retrieve a child from our classrooms you will be required to provide the security number card that you were given at check-in.
