I met people that changed my perspective on homelessness and people living in transition. God was at work in transforming my heart, mind and spirit. I found it incredibly humbling. I always thank God for all He's given me (daily) but this opportunity pointedly drove the message home. It's all about loving people!

Serving Our Local Community

New Heights In Motion

What is New Heights In Motion?

New Heights In Motion exists to give people a place to serve others out of a response to God's work in their lives. Individual and group service opportunities provide a way for people to impact the community around them in simple, selfless and spiritual ways.

How does New Heights In Motion work?

  • Service Days: We host Service Day Projects to help local organizations in our community.
  • Helping Hands: The purpose is to meet the practical needs of people at New Heights in personal ways for those that don't have other resources.
  • Thanksgiving Baskets: Collect and distribute food to folks in need in our community during Thanksgiving.
  • Christmas Sharing Tree: Collect and distribute gifts to folks and local schools in need in our community during Christmas.

Responding to the Heart of God

Prayer, worship, and obedience are a few of the ways we respond to God's love for us. Service to those in need is another. We don't serve expecting gratitude, but it is heart-warming nonetheless to hear the difference God is making through us.

This past summer, we put together care packages for military personnel deployed overseas. It was an opportunity for us to be further shaped into Christ's image by caring for others.

Here's an excerpt from a letter we received from one serviceman after a New Heights In Motion project.
