If you are looking for a unique opportunity to be stretched and serve God across the world this is the place to look! Global Outreach for Students offers short-term mission experiences for high school and college-age students. This is an intense but exciting way to see how the body of Christ functions and how God can use you to make a difference in the lives of others.

What You Should Know

This is for you if…
    • You are a young adult or graduating senior (18-26)
    • Involved in leadership within your ministry and/or others
    • Looking for an exciting way to challenge yourself and grow in your faith as you experience and serve a unique people group.
What is the trip?
    • We will spend two weeks, during July, in Papua, Indonesia, where a missions organization called MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) serves.
    • Part of our time will be spent in a remote village that MAF serves, and part of our time will be spent putting on the yearly MAF Family Conference.
What can you expect?
    • DO NOT expect an easy-breezy vacation time.
    • You can expect to be stretched and pushed greatly in your capacities. Throughout the training and trip you are very likely to find yourself in a state of physical and spiritual exhaustion at multiple points.
    • However, the reason we do this is because you can expect to see the Lord show Himself, His good works, and ultimately His glory in powerful and life-changing ways throughout the training and trip at multiple points.

Personal Stories

Our goal of the trip was to serve the MAF community by helping put on their annual family conference. Not only were we able to serve the MAF families in a way that they really needed, but our whole team was able to walk away with a once in a lifetime experience that has given us a bigger and better view of the world.”

Brandon

The trip was so impactful in many ways, the trip showed me God working in every part of the world. Hearing stories from MAF families helped show me how God is with them through everything no matter where they go.”

Alexis

During the trip, I got an opportunity to have a conversation about school and life in general with a Christian Papuan girl around my age. Although we are so far apart distance-wise, I found that we related to one another in so many ways and that was so cool to see.

Katelyn

“This trip has made me grateful for the opportunities given to me and for the knowledge that God is intentionally pursuing his people in different parts around the world. It was also so amazing to experience intentional spiritual growth in the months leading up to the trip with my team.”
